In the late 60's the Ford Mustang really started to become a muscle car. The 69' model became much heavier due to the 320 horsepower that displaced 390 cubic inches, and the heavier chasis and engine. The added features made the 69 Mustang 16 percent heavier than the first Mustang which was great for muscle car lovers but not so great for everyone else. By 1970 the Ford Mustang sold a third of what they sold in 66'.
