Ford responded to the upscale 1965 Chevrolet Caprice by introducing the LTD. Similar to it's Galaxie Sedan but more luxurious and priced amazingly low the LTD proved that Ford wouldn't back down to it's competitors. It has a solid look, many options of color for the interior and the hidden headlights were a nice touch as well.
